Jensen VM9311- screen not working. Help!

My head unit has been slowly malfunctioning more and more. It all started with the tilt-screen and wide-pic buttons on the front not working, and the buttons on top (close, etc.) not working. Then after a while it would open and stop before it became completely vertical. Then, very recently, when the screen would open up, the backlight will not turn on. I can tell that the information is displayed when i look closely, but there is no backlight. The buttons on top(close/open, etc.) do work when the unit is closed, and all functions work from the remote. I have no idea what could possibly be wrong. Any ideas? Thanks

first thing wrong is its a jensen. second thing to try is just reset the unit...undo the cars battery or if the unit has a reset button?? if it still doesnt work then you know from now on that the tv is junk. i dont get it. people buy a jensen tv to look like a baller because they have a tv but its like they forget its a peice of crap jensen. jensen does not = baller no matter how big the screen.

ha yeah well i didn't buy it. it came installed on the car when i bought it, and i just want it to work again. I've tried the reset button, and the car battery has also been disconnected. That didn't fix it. Any other help is appreciated. Thanks

best suggestion. Take that crap out and get a Kenwood (x693), Alpine, JVC, or Pioneer

yeah that is the plan in the future. Right now though im in college and can't do that. I'm just looking for an easy fix so that the screen works again.
