Jeep grand cherokee sub install help...

how should i go about installing the remote turn on and rca's to the back of a factory hu in the above car? 2002-2004 model, should i just splice the remote on into the "blue" hu on wire, and then where does the rca output go?

so you are installing a amp/sub with a factory deck??

you are going to need a L.O.C. (line out converter) hook the LOC up to rear speaker wire's behind the factory deck, and use the Ignition wire for Rem. turn on make sure you fuse the wire.

no you want to hook everything behind the factory deck.. that way if you ever install an aftermarket deck ur rca's and rem. turn on are right there where you need them. just pull out the LOC and hook rca's and rem to the aftermarket deck..

there is a ignition wire in the factory wire harness behind the deck. test it with a multi meter or test light, should turn on with the key.

fuse ur rem. wire allso. the one you will hook up ignition to off to the amp.

what sould th dmm read, i already have one, so it just shows reading when the car turns on, sry for the noobage, igenerally stick to aftermarket hu's buta friend wants to keep his stock...

should show 12v with the key on. and when the car is running. 0v when the car is off.

It will read 12 when its in ACC and 14.1-7 when the vehicle is on.
