JL audio would win by a long shot. The JBL's are less than half the price, and you DO get what you pay for.

pretty good, but keep in mind w6's aren't really geared for spl as much as some subs are, they CAN take an *** load of power and amp source matters... i hooked up a 10w6 to a 500 sony amp, and when really loud, it started to distort and sound bad, i hooked up a 1000/1 to it and gave it about 50% more power and it was louder, cleaner, it just hit way harder... but like i said, w6's wouldn't be my choice for an SPL setup

GTI's are by far a more advanced breed of woofers

they are geared towards sq but will put up great numbers on the meter as well, alot more than we can say for JL = Just Lose

great! those type-R's really slam if the enclosure it right, i've heard plently of type-

R setups that stomp w6's...

the w6 just isn't an spl woofer...

granted its not an SQ woofer either....

its really not designed to compete at all...

it's a balance of SPL and SQ targeted toward the adverage everyday listener that doesn't want an SPL system that in reality only plays 10 htz effectively, he just wants his MUSIC to be loud...

the GTI is less of a compromise and more of a versitile sub... designing an SPL box for one is easy, but designing a SQ box for one is easy too... but it doesn't compromise the 2 as well
