JBL BP1200.1 not enough for my XXX?

theres your problem... your electrical system just cant keep up with that 1200.1 putting out around 1400w. best thing you can do now is get some wire and upgrade big 3 and get a deep cycle battery... and when u have the chance upgrade alternator cuz it might not last u for too long //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Even with my 80A alt it would make it alot better? What if I just upgraded my alt and got big3?

Also, which batteries do you recommend? And what how big of an alternator?

any deep cycle... if you can get a Yellow top. Alternator wise, its all relevant to what your goin to do... will u get more power later? 160A or something should be enough, just depends on what u want to spend. they can be costly so usually people do big 3 and batt purchase first and later upgrade alternator. defnintely get a battery tho

I was gonna get a Sounstream 1600.2 later so what kinda Alt would I need for that? Also, i read up on yellow tops and people say they arent that good for starter batteries and should be used as secondary batteries for when you are playing your music without driving. I only play my music when i'm driving so that doesn't make sense to me. The yellow tops looked good tho although some people said the red top was better because it is a starter battery but it does not have deep cycle... Also the red top has 800CCA and is the more CCA the better? These batteries are confusingm which one do you use kappa?

hey man i have a 1200.1 also and a 12 XXX.i dont ahve my big 3 done (yet) but i have a 130 amp alt now and im not getting and dimmage and very little voltege drops. So do your big 3 get HO alt and your electrical is still not doing good enough then get a deep cycle battery. And i think ur box is a bit to small for a 15 ported try making it bigger but if u cant get 4.0 cubes then seal it.

it doesnt have to be the yellow top, i have a deep cycle battery i bought from sears. something like 900 cca maybe i dont really remember, it was like 110 maybe (actually i really dont remember).

I have a red top and it helped my voltage problems. Is it a deep cycle, no. But it is one very beefey starter battery well worth the money.

I had my yellow top 2 months now and its bin fine as a starter battry...Anyway couple months ago every one had boners for Hifonics and Re XXX's...To me it looks lik this forum is startin audio trends.. XXX is one of the best subs out no matter how you look at it..Im usin a very small portd box for my xxx,3 cubic feet tuned to 30hz..And you know what, to me it sounds fine,but I can feel the sub needs more legs space buh honestly i dont have the money to get another box, so this'll do.
