JBL 1200.1 and 2 type R 15s?

ok, im looking to get a JBL 1200.1 and 2 15" type Rs. I have heard good things about the JBL and love the type Rs. My question is this, in order to get the most from that amp i need to run it 2 ohm mono right? Do the type Rs come in dual 2 ohm models? If so, i could wire them for a 2 ohm mono load, if not, could the JBL take a 1 ohm mono load? If they only come in dual 4s, then i could only get a 1 ohm or 4 ohm mono right?

they come in dual 2 and dual 4 ohm models. to be totally honest either one will work fine on your amp depends on how you'd rather wire them. the jbl1200.1 is stable to 1 ohm mono some people choose not to do it b/c i've heard that the amp can run kinda warm that way and it gives no extra power like most amps do from 2 to 1 ohm. anyway either setup will work for ya my man.
