Read item "A" under Equipment in the link I sent you. Does your soundcard meet those qualifications? If not, you either need a different card, or to buy an additional external unit like is pictured.

get a soundblaster audigy. you can get all kinds of adapters to go from phono (rca) to headphone, to the guitar amp sized one, to Svideo, all kinds of stuff. itf its got inputs, theres a converter available.

thats what i dont understand.. under item "A" it says i would need the M-AUDIO TRANSIT if my sound card doesnt meet the requirements.. but the M-AUDIO only uses a USB output.. and the inputs are the same as my sound card.. i would still need some kind of input that the pre-amp can plug into.. what the hell does a pre-amp use for outputs anyway.. RCAs??
