ok, so I hooked up my 2500d and MT and it worked fine the first night, the next day the amp kept cutting off, so I checked the remote wire and that seemed to be the problem. Then I hooked the remote to the ignition wire on the cd player and that fixed it, for the first night. Now I am blowing the radio fuse under my dash, BUT only when the car is turned on, when I just have the switch turned overit works fine. Whats the problem, someone help Ive had problems with the system every other day since it was installed

humm..well first of all..your fuse under your hood is a 250A..then your amp must be a 250A fuse on it or less...if it is more then that might be the problem

Did you re-run the remote-wire or just use the same one? If the remote wire was not getting a charge to the amp it was possibly shorting out somewhere. If you just tied a shorting wire to the ignition it's popping the fuse to keep from burning anything up. I suggest re-running the remote-wire, and make sure it's not where it'll get pinched.

you know fuses in your fusebox are a certain size for a reason...throwing a bigger fuse in there will most likely end up in you setting your car on fire...are you sure its not a head unit problem?

Too much current draw at start-up.There's an amp remote turn on lead on your head unit for a reason. If you're running a factory head unit, then I'd suggest running a wire directly from the batt. to a toggle switch, then connect the remote turn on to the toggle switch.

the remote wire was pinched and grounding out, and I know the fuses are a certain size for a reason, I was just seeing if a bigger one would blow to, and they did even quicker. And the remote wire coming from my cd player sucks and doesnt have enough power coming out of it to turn the amp on, thats why its hooked to my red wire (ignition wire) but I reran and fixed the remote so everything is working just fine now, thanks for the suggestions and comments
