Well, my 96 is just gettin to be too much of a money pit..i put 800 bucks worth of brakes in in the fall, now it needs 1500 bucks worth of bearing..axel..wheel work..you name it. (and the odometer doesnt work)

So i think its on its way out..

What should i get, ive got a max of 15k to work with. Ive been looking at tahoe/yukons, and trailblazers and all his cousins..

I need something that can tow at least 6k lbs easily.( we tow our wakeboard boat)

What do you guys reccomend that is somewhat heavy duty, but still gets decent gas mileage.

Thanks

You have to consider that if you go with something used, you'll end up in the same place your at now in little to no time. Maybe use some of that 15k (maybe8k) as a down on a new truck, and use the rest for your payments. Or put it all as a down, and have very low payments. There's a lot of good used trucks out there. I dint take nothing from them, but in a lot of cases your buying someone else's problem.

used SUV is what im lookin at.. maybe with 50k miles or somethin

The problem with my explorer is we bought it with 105k miles.. which was a mistake, it was my first car.. so i wasnt complaining.

If you're looking into fuel milage I suggest a diesel. A mid 90's diesel truck with like 100k should work well.
