It Wont fit in the Hole

Im going to wire my sub with 8awg wire but I cant fit the wire into the spring clip on the sub. Do i have to put some kind of crimp on the end of the wire to make it fit?

trim the wire a little, i doub't u'll need more then 10AWG anyways

maybe it just wont accept that big of wire. twist your wire really tight with your fingers and push it down all the way and insert, most of them fit 8 guage

its just its left over power wire from last setup so thats why I was going to use it.
