Many of you know I am one of the local DLS *****s on here that LOVE DLS amps. I had a sexy A7 in my show car all of last year when I got this itch to change out to somthing new for 07. I had the goofy idea of going with helix series amps for 07... well that idea lasted for a little bit. Then found myself staring at more sexy DLS ultimate amps online. Called DLS, planned and crunched numbers...

Well I decided to go with my dream active setup! I just ordered in 2 DLS A3 twin mono amps along with 1 A6 mono sub amp. The first a3 will power the top end while the second the front mids. The big mono powering the bottom. I know this is insane overkill power wise but what the hell, why not! Here are some of the specs... Man finally! I will have the amp setup I have dreamed about! This should be perfect coupled to the insane functions of the Ural CDD.....

i have a dls A5. its a sexy beast. and all i need now is an A1 for my horns. i really didnt think ~600w would be enough for the IDQs, but apparently they like it. eaither that or the A5 is putting more out at 2 ohms than i can imagine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

sexy amps. i just wish the terminal screws had a larger allen size in them.

exlenet choice for amps. i never liked them because of some boner, i liked them for a real long time. i love the way they look, the quality is most def there, and they have several types to suit all needs.

just cant beat it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

A3 is 1200 watts @ 2 ohms bridged (NOT ENOUGH FOR IDQ's? WTF)

On their website it says 1 ohm, if you look in the PDF I believe they mean each channel is running one ohm when bridged so the output when bridged would acutaly be 2 ohms...

A6 makes it power at one ohm. It really does not get much better than TWO A3's for what you want to do you lucky bastard :p

I just wanted one to run my comps Non-Active, but it was too pricy for me so I got a deal on an arc that does not een make nearly as much power...

Howa re you going to mount all these amps? They would look amazing in the right install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What Alternator are you running? These amps have the capability to pull 420 amps total from you electrical. Although running the A3's @ 4 ohms should not put them anywhere near their max current draw.

The A3 is a go****ed versitile amp o_O

Yeah the a3's are sick //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I wanted the a6 for the remote bass gain and remote phase control. Makes life simple! Also almost looks identicle to an a3 except the fuses and the remote port. The a6 will be running at approx 1.7ohm and the two a3's in stereo at 4ohm. I am more of an audiophile and Do not get on it much so I am not super worried about the powersupply as my a7 never even made a light dim in my car. Just for transient sake, they will each have a 1/2farad cap and the a6 will have 1 farad. Mainly because they have direct hook up for caps. They will be hidden and yeah I am usually a cap hater but why the hell not. Have to plug all the holes haha.
