Is this considered to be a decent amp? I thought ED was a respected brand but I haven't been able to find any THD or Frequency Response +/-dB specs on the NINe.4, which makes me wonder.

I'm looking at this amp to power a set of CDT Eurosport components in front and Classic series coaxials in the rear. It's small enough to fit under the front seat of my 2007 Rav4 while most other 4-ch amps in this power range look like they'd be a tight fit there. I want clean, accurate sound though, so if I have to look elsewhere I will. Does ED make their own stuff or is it rebadged from another manufacturer?

I believe Avionixx makes the amps for ED... at least they used to.

People seem to be satisfied with the ED amp offerings. Although, you may be more satisfied with other, more expensive, options -- if it is the only one that fits in your location there certainly isn't anything fundamentally wrong with the amp. Many folks have personal problems with ED and therefore do not do business with them. But, from a technical perspective that amp will do what it says it should do.

Why not go with a Sundown 100.4?

That's a beautiful Sundown amp but I only have about 10x12 inches of room to work with under my front seat unless I want to start modifying rear heating ductwork. One of my priorities is to keep things out of sight and looking stock. I'm not an SPL fiend at all, I just want an amp that fits in that space that will produce great SQ and give a little bump when I want it to. If the ED will do that, then I'll be happy to not have to turn the install job into more of a hassle than it needs to be.

Are there any other 4-ch SQ amps that I should I be considering that might be better?

i'm a fan of ed amps. people can say what they want about the company's business practices, but they do have a pretty good product. the warranty is great too.
