hi

this is the first time i used deadening on my doors. i cleaned the doors very well and had no isssues with the deadening sticking. however, im wondering if i have enuf on???? i had save the SS for vertical places like the doors coz i heard it was much better than edead on vertical places where gravity is a factor. however, i ran out of SS, do i had to mix with edead.

my doors are so hard to do and not enuf flat places. do you think i should put more? if so, there are so many places where it curves and indents. plus you got the wires etc. i cant just place a whole layer over the whole section. in these pics, it was the best i could do. i also did the back of the door panel. not sure if i was suppossed to or not but i did.

no

you ight want to work on covering that big *** hole. the thing is, sound deadening is tough. if you dont get a good seal, youre kinda wasting your time with it. here, ill get you some pics up in a few, of the way i did a friends door. I used Peel n seel, yes its the cheap stuff, but guess what......4 layers on the inner door itself, and 4-5 layers on the frame of the door, definately make the door much heavier, and it closes with a solid THUD, instead of the dull clunk, that it had before.

well, that big hole is now covered. i took the pic of that hole so you can see inside the door where i deadened. if you look at the first pic, i have most of the door covered. but theres only like one layer on it. its so hard to get multiple layers. should one do it?

i REALLY love the SS stuff over the edea. i can see why its a little more dough but worth it. it goes on much better and seems to flex and more managable. the edea is good too but i'd prefer all SS. you know when you crumple tin foil? well the SS seems to have that kind of flexibility on the outside part of the mat, so it forms around the edges and such. the edead is more stiffer but not bad
