is it me or is it really small? for 1/0
yeah thats what i was thinking to, but i dont have any other 1/0 to compare it to, but i wonder if it will be enough for my sundown 1500, main power cord being less than 15 foot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the wire is appx. 1/2 the dia. of the dime. (just the wire, not the wire+insul.)

Dime diameter = 17.91mm, wire dia. = 8-9mm

17.91 mm = .705"

8-9mm = .315-.354"

Dia. of 1/0 wire = .323"

That's legitimate 1/0 wire.

The only issue IMO is the thin insulation. Be extra careful to avoid the possibility of cutting/wearing through it.

Wire gauge is based on area so diameter is subjective to gauge of strand and number of them. If is was solid copper, 8.2mm would be the diameter, stranded = 9.5mm again this is averages by AWG. Area is what matters. If you can get a strand cound and strand diameter you can find out exactly what you have.

he said he also has some 2/0 laying around, im guessing its around the size of hyperflex the way he talks, he said its double what i have right now
