is this a good sub/ amp combo?

Alpine MRX-M50 X-Power Monoblock Car Amplifier paired with an Alpine swr-1243d sub. its going to be sealed. i dont need overwhelming bass, just solid bass to complement my speakers cos i have no bass right now. My local audio shop recommended this and its a decent deal. thoughts?

whew thanks for replying man lol. i was just asking cos im trying to get it installed today and needed opinions asap. one more thing....the amp is rated at 500w @ 2 ohms while the sub is 600 w rms. so it wont be underpowered by the amp?

Nothing to worry about it

It should be the dual 4 sub, so they can run the amp @ 2 ohm

the sub is $150, i know i can get is for $130 online but im going through my local shop so if it blows i can get a replacement instantly.

they are giving me the amp for $175
