Is this a good setup? Alpine + Sony + MTX

I saw yesterday that Ikesound is offering RE SE 12's for $99 each. If that's legit, a pair of those would make a great budget system. I have heard some complaints about ikesound though. *shrug*
Ya I don't mind paying a little more per sub as long as it will suit the amp and is reputable. Just want the best bang for the buck and I'll go up to about $150 per sub at most. Thanks for the info though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If they really are $99 each, the RE SE's are an extremely good value. Another notoriously good bang for your buck sub in that budget range is the Type R.

why do you need 10s? I think I speak for everyone as for you should return the box as well and have a custom box built because 99% of prefabs are garbage...your best bet is to return the amp, subs, and box then buy one or two SE's, find an amp on here, and if you can build a box yourself or have someone build one for you. I promise you will be way more happy you did.

True I might be happier with a custom box. We'll see. I can always build one later. The box is made with MDF 5/8 (yes it's not 3/4) and it's glued/stapled. I can always run additional supports and screws too if need be. And knowing my woodworking skills, I'd rather buy the box haha.

Anyway the reason I want 10's is that my car trunk is very small. The box I mentioned "just" fits. Some people seem to prefer 10's of 12's I noticed on this site and others. Either way I pretty much want to go with 10's so looking for decent ones that'll run good with my amp. So any suggestions please let me know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I noticed no one here likes the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif. I know it's not high-end, but what's wrong with it? I figured it would get the job done with some 10's.

From what I've heard, they have a tendency to break.

ahh I see. Well hopefully that happens before the warranty runs out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

As for specs though, does it seem ok from that perspective?

well then go with two type r 10s and def have a ported enclosure built for them either now or later when you can. may I ask how much you payed for the amp?
Don't ask.... haha. Close to $300 inc s/h and taxes.

Is this a good setup and will I be able to connect these subs to the amp bridged running at 2 ohm's? I've already purchased these items and hope to receive them in the next week or so. The system is going in a mid sized 4 door car. Hope I didn't screw up! Speakers will run off deck amp I guess. They are stock crap anyways. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
Appreciate any feedback if possible. The reason I am asking is if there's something I should definitely "NOT" get, I can return the product if need be after it arrives.

o snap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif please return that asap! you can get SO much better for less. If you want to brand match you can go with two audioque SDC2.5 10s for $129 a piece with an AQ1200D for $249 or two type R tens which would be about $99 a piece and you could use the AQ1200D or find another amp in the classifieds. There are many different possibilities out there though so have a look see.
