as long as you do the big 3 along with it you should be good

my friend said he has the hc600 in his mustang and he has two type r's without the big 3 and he still holds up well, he only has 4 g.

but i guess the mustang has just that much better of an alt. and front batt :\

id say 15 ft just to be sure... but just measure your factory wires and make sure you can route the bigger wire the same way, get a few extra feet just to make sure
