Is there an internal fuse on the Pioneer 880 PRS?

Pretty sure it has the infamous pico fuse that if it blows will cause noise in the unit's output. Grounding the rca's normally fixes that if you don't fix the fuse inside. I don't think it would cause the unit to stop working all together. I have no idea though.

ussually theres a fuse block in the yellow power constant wire, or on the unit covered by the wiring harness plug. unplug the harness and see if there is a fuse. if not your probably ****ed. i know there a place in bervard county that is an authorized service center for pioneer flip outs. they might be able to fix your prs, and if not then they can probably refer you in the right direction.

321-452-2285. give them a call

Yeah check the inline fuse, if its okay send it off and let them look at it. I have extra harnesses for both the main harness and RCA harness if you want them. $10 to cover my messing around and shipping if you want to try it. I ordered new ones because the guy I bought it off of said he didnt have them then when I got it they were in there...but I hooked up the new ones and still have the originals.

Check your PM's

also:

No fuse behind the wiring harness or anywhere on the outside of this deck. The fuses are (as mentioned earlier) in the power wires. The way the guy had it hooked up (really wonder who did this) the power wires had no fuses and the wiring harness had the ground pulled out so it was grounded through the antenna wire.

I opened it up but didn't find any fuses so I'm guessing the fuses are only in the wires. I found a place in Seattle (about 1.5 hours from me) that fixes them. $45 base charge and they'll call if it's over $110. Is this pretty reasonable? I know it's a good deck and all, I just never dealt with getting one repaired before.
