Is the KAC-9105D enough for my HDC312

Hey guys

I just got my enclosure for my sub done, and was now just able to hook up my A HDC312 copper at a 1 ohm load.

I know AQ states not to play at full power but I had to set the gain up 3/4 just to get the speaker moving. Will this amp be able to last on this speaker or should i just replace it.

I would think that amp would put out close to it's 900 watts. It's CEA 2006 compliant and uses 90 amps for fusing. You have a dual 2 ohm sub wired in parallel for the 1 ohm load right? (positives all connected, negatives all connected)

AQ would definitely be a better choice though, but that amp you have should still be able to push it a little.

There's been talk around here about one of those being clamped and only putting out something like 600. A quick search would probably find it.

Yeah it clamped alright, the **** thing also goes into protect really fast within a minute of playing....

I looking in the AQ1200 as well.

The amp is good for the 4 ohm and 2 ohm loads if at max looking for 500-600watts for playing but for this sub it is no bueno...

Thanks MONSON
