its a kx 1200.1 by kicker. it was worth a pretty penny back in the days, but i dont know how much its worth now. the silver model. 1ohm stable. 1200 rms 2400 peak. i currently have two of them. they are powering 1 kicker l7 15 each. the subs are 4ohm DVC.

Another question: would it be better to power both subs with one amp or one to each amp? cant strap them, so i can only wire both to one amp or 1 to each. suggestions?

back to the original question, im tempted to sell one amp, but i dont know how much i can get out of it?

thanx in advance

You can get whatever someone is willing to pay you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they arent worth anything, Ill take them for cost of shipping //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

just run 1, youll be getting about the same amount of power either way, and a singular amp is easier to tune //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thats a thought lol

yea i was thinking the same as far as power, and youre right, i was dreading having to tune up both amps if i decided to go back having both amps.

i got around 250 for mine with endcaps and original box about a year ago.
thats pretty reasonable, especially since i was offered about the same for just the amp, with nothing else. i might just take their offer

well, it depends on if you can even power 2 of them........ if you don't have a ho alt, then no, you really can't effectively, and 1 amp will run better on both subs than 2 running singles....

I ran a pair for a while strapped (yes they strapped, read the manual for instructions...DON'T **** it up! You need a mini mono plug, some short RCAs and some big speaker wire or 8 gauge) Would reccomend an extra battery or two if you want to run the pair. If you have an issue with odd sounds strapping, try switching which one is master, sometimes that helps.

I got 220ish ea for mine a couple years ago. Had shrouds and gain knobs and boxes.

I did strap them once but my subs are 4ohm, so i could only wire them to 1ohm. And the amps strapped are 2ohm final load, so. I wasnt trying to damage my 10 year old subs lol or my amps

if he runs 1 amp at 1 ohm its 1200rms

if he funs 2 amps at 2 ohms it about 2x600=1200rms

Its gonna put roughly the same strain on his electrical system either way

and OP, i would suggest doing the big 3 and maybe a kinetic hc600 in the trunk, just to help out a bit, no real need for a H/O alt

and you could strap at 4ohm, but id still just run one, unless you want the look of dual matching amps

They look nice in the trunk, but right now im really lacking on highs and mids, so thats mainly what i was aiming for as far as the cash. And ive also been looking into a second batt as well, just to be safe.

actually, it has potential for the same power either way, but the load on the electrical system may be different with 1 vs. 2...... see, mine, and my buddy's tahoes have 165a alt on tap, and he did have both of his 1200d's hooked up for a while.... one day, he unknowingly knocked one remote wire off, and noticed that it was louder.... well ,ong story short, he ended up wiring both subs to the 1 amp, and it does actually put out more, with less load on the system. i would at least try both ways.

op- bad azz you got a pair of gen1 l-7 15's.... didn't know anyone else on here still had some...
