Is the company you work for doing well in this economy?

I own my own business as a residential construction contractor. If new houses don't start selling soon I'll have to find another line of work for a while. Houses here used to sell as soon as the foundation was done, but now there are hundreds of new houses that have been finished for over a year with no offers.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I really don't want to have to work for somebody else after I've been my own boss for so long but it may come down to that.

we're doing fine.. people still like to eat and our main sales is from Food stamps/Wic,which is govt provided.. so it will only boost our sales.. I am gettin a raise/promotion soon.. the grocery busines is doing fine.. the store owner still owns 5 independent stores, 4 subways.. 2 convienient stores.. and 3 pizza places..sales are still in the positive in all aspects especially since Gas went down, $5 footongs, Pizza specials, and its winter so all ppl do is eat..

Not to bad, but I sub-contract doing LP for Kmart Distribution center and our company is doing fine, but Kmart not so much. Just laid off close to a 100 associates in the last couple weeks and they are only about 300 strong here............should say were.

Amazingly though the people don't seem upset about it at all.
