Is the company you work for doing well in this economy?

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rage.gif.0ad8a6e5565b5fddce406566fdd05149.gifI used to work as a customer service rep for an auto parts place; and as their cs guy I had to clean up the mess left by jagoff salemen like you all the time. Your just destroying the credibility of your own workplace. People like you were the reason I quit that place, I got tired of dealing with all the pissed off customers because they were lied to or overcharged for the sake of commission. I hope karma catches up to you someday & some mechanic tears you a new one.

As for my (former) job, people will always need the mail, so they are doing just fine; maybe slightly better since DHL went under. During the holiday's though Fedex lost their biggest business account to UPS ( it was L.L.Bean), which probably hurt them. Unfortunately I was laid off after peak for poor attendance in '08.
WTF/ That was FeEx's biggest account?!?!

I work for the State of CA.. We are starting mandatory furloughs this Friday to save a couple billion dollars for the state.. Besides of the state running out of money things are going swell... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
You can thank the legislature for that.

what do you mean by customer service rep? You're the ******** retard behind the counter at autozone? I hatethose ****ers. And what mess of mine would you have to clean up? If some guys comes into the shop with a 89 sentra that needs a lot of work I won't raise prices on him. But if some rednck asshat in a brandnew 40k armada wants me to price him some 35" mud boggers I'm gonna raise his cost. MILFS also get a discount. plus I work at a very respectable dealership where people know its not going to be cheap.

Maybe not the biggest, but it was up there. We would get about half a 26' trailer filled with smalls' bags of just ll bean clothes twice a week at my hub. Amazon.com & a few others like huntington blinds might of had them beat.

No, i've never worked at autozone. I did work at a Murray's Discount Auto (Checker on the west coast)a few years ago, but that's not what I'm talking about. I used to work for a mail order catalog company called Parts Place that dealt specifcally with VW's.

It'd be a much greater company if they didn't have shady business practices like what you said. Almost anyone one here that lives in metro detroit knows the place, it's right off I-75 in Auburn Hills. They deal mostly with parts for beetles/ bus' and older watercooled cars and hard to find parts.

Really small pic, but I'm 2nd from the left. That was prolly 5 years ago though. That red golf also was my car back then.

oh and I'm not yet on a commision based pay plan. I do it so our dept numbers look good therefore securing my job during a recession. I soon will getting commision which would be a win win situation for me.

We made $18B last year and forecasts are for $19.5B next year... Alot of pressure on our Credit Rating and will be a crunch to keep our dividend in tact. If we can meet the Earnings est, keep the rating, and support the dividend I would call that a successful 2009.

nah...i dont think anyone is going to come to a nissan dealership and order any kind of 40" aftermarket tires...for an armada. and i dont think the guy with an 89 senta that needs alot of work is going to go to the "respectable/expensive dealership" use real life experences. im curious.

We should be closing doors in the next 2 weeks. Yay Circuit City.

On a lighter note, I do already have a new job - Cashiering at a local Supermarket, and I think they're doing good as they hired 4 people with me.

I know where that place is at //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Winter is always a slow time for us (I work for a golf store), so the real determining factor will be when spring time rolls around.

But they have cut our store budget by an asston for the past couple months and quite a few of my coworkers haven't had any hours for the past month. Lucky for me I'm good at my job and know the in's and out's of the entire store so the managers like to give me hours. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
