is running 1ohm stable amp at 1.5ohm ok?

To clarify, you can always run an amp at a higher ohm load than it is rated, but it will decrease the power by a factor similar to the inverse of the ratio of the rated ohm load and the actual ohm load (assuming the amp wasn't built to support it's rated power at a certain range of resistance).

(rated ohm load/actual ohm load) = (actual power/rated power)

If that makes you more confused, if your amp is rated at 400w at 1ohm but you run it at 1.5, you'll get a lil over 250w out of it (theoretically).

I calculated this by using (1ohm/1.5ohm) = (actual power/400w) ---> then solve for actual power.

1/1.5=(2/3) or .6667, which you can then multiply by the 400w to find your actual power output.

.667*400w = 266.667w, which is again a theoretical value, but something to go off of.

Thanks for the feedback. It was a long shot but there will definitely be much more powerful subs in the trunk, so clearing it out isn't an option...
