Is playing full frequencies through woofer bad?

I'm sorry for this noobie question but I don't want to destroy anything either. I got a new set of components just recently but I'm not going to be able to get them installed until next week. Am I going to hurt anything by just running one channel of my amp directly to a single woofer so I can have some music for the time being? Thanks!

What "woofer"? If it's a subwoofer intended for deep bass, it'll sound like ***. You won't hurt it though.

It's just the 6.5" woofer that came with the components so it is supposed to play some upper frequencies.
