is my starter on my car screwed?

ide check the starter before anything..most the time when you battery is dying doesnt it make like a slow sounds like theres not enough power to turn over(i cant realy describe it)but when a starter is on its last legs its make a somewhat fast clicking sound everytime you turn the key foward..but as said before if you get stuck somewhere you could crawl under the truck and give it a couple taps with a screwdriver(or hammer lol)and it should roll over but i wouldnt rely on that

yea the battery is fine then. i know what you mean by "slow" sound. that was the case with my sisters car, but this seems like its definatly the starter. i used autozone.com but i still dotn quite know where my starter is. all it really has on the website is a close up pic where i cant tell what they're talkin about, and then a description of where the starter relay is...i dont know wheather i can see it from opening the hood or do i have to go under.

SWEET, it was just the battery! my friends dad is a mechanic and he said that he 99% sure the starter is fine (and he didnt even listen to it he just said it form experience) and to try and jump the car...boom started right up. drove to autozone picked up a battery and now eveyrthign is fine. good thing too cause the starter for my car was 170+ bucks and a new battery was 65 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
