Is my amp powerful enough

They are 4 ohm each. Im currently running them

Together to make a 2 ohm load

On another topic: Hey Disturbed, how you likin' yours Skar's? We've got a distributor here in Tulsa that sells em for about $20 bucks less than than SSA (or anyone else). I am really intrigued! From the youtube vids I've seen those are some monsters!

I have no finshed install yet.. Bet I got them even cheaped then that. Direct from Kevin!!!! OP you can only wire ur subs to either a 2ohm or 8ohm load so still with the 2ohm load.

There's no way to get a 1 ohm load with those subs so you need a amp that can do 700w or more at 2 ohm.

Okay so it would be best to buy a bigger amp so i dont have to crank the gain so high? I can get a Jl Audio JX1000/1 for 300$ its 1000W at 2 ohms? Better match?

I quickly skimmed over this thread, but did anyone suggest the gains on the amp being too high? Could be feeding those subs distorted power, clipping, and caused the subs to mess up... I would set the gains properly, and see how they react...

If you want them louder, than yea, get a bigger amp, or just set the gains properly, and see how you like it...

a "1k" amp will be fine, just set the gains properly to limit the power thats actually going it. the subs to what they want.

A JL 1000 watt is going to be pretty stout for those subs. It'll be fine as long as you watch your gain. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how much better your system is going to sound!

Man you should hook me up! I want 2 of the 10's. I think that'll be plenty (although it's never really enough is it)? Haha! It seems like they're comparable to Sundown SA's but for a better price. Next install I wanna run 3 SA-8's or 3 DCON 10's. Love 12's and 15's don't get me wrong. Just like my bass faster and punchier ya know? Just out of curiousity what did you get the 10's for? Pricewise?

So I have an update for everyone... My buddy offered me his 1500W RMS amp for a very good deal. My subs are only rated at 700W RMS (350 each). Perhaps this thread title should be changed to "Is my amp too powerfull" lol. Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

Its a Jbl gto14001 btw.
