Installing all my stuff, big 3, sub into box, amp wiring, etc. everything this weekend!

so a few questions.

A. Running a 100amp stock alt, stock batt, and doing the big 3. running a rub 1600D to a fi ssd 15" 2ohm sub at 1ohm on the amp. Am i good? running prob about 1000 watts - 1200 watts. Nothing blowing etc.???

B. Any specific processes, order, in doing all of this to prevent a mess up?

C. i found a good ground, if i pop off some plastic, and it opens to the top of the shock which is attached to the chassis so i was going to attach my ground to it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

D. any last tips, suggestions, pics, videos, would be thanked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

could be wrong, but i think people have had problems pickin up noise from grounding there.
In have heard this and had it happen too, a long time ago. Probably, depending on the application, there are spacers and rubber shock absorbers-bushings between the body and strut or spring locations that prevent a circuit being produced between the body-shock tower and the frame. You can never go wrong with everything being grounded to the frame.

But I bet your main concern is current draw. You will be pulling over 100 amps from your system and everything together will probably be around 130 or so (estimate). So you will have voltage drop and it could be significant. I would suggest a voltmeter to assess your drop and see which direction you will need to go, highoutput alt, or just some better batteries. Hope this helps you out Bro!

a better batt is a possibility, for the hatch, what is so bad about a voltage drop? besides less loud music

oh ****, dropping below does it? :S how can i prevent this?
Big 3, having a volt meter to monitor your voltage at all times, setting your amp properly to prevent clipping, not using any bass boosts, using the largest wire your amp will accept, solid grounds, upgrading your battery/alternator

I have done all of the following above besides the volt meter, where can i get a cheap one? and what voltage should i try to stay between.

i wasn't aware dropping below voltage can blow an amp, anyone care to explain that?

and also, with the rub1600 if i crank it down to about 1000RMS, should i be okay?
