Is It Ok To Make 2 Seperate Runs From Battery To 2 Amplifiers?

I have a Scosche wiring kit (5 guage) wired up to a 2-channel amplifier (for now) from my battery. I will be also getting a subwoofer and mono amplifier, so is it ok to run that with my KnuKonceptz 4 guage wiring kit from the battery also, instead of using a distribution to split a connection since I dont have one?

I hope that wasnt confusing, but I dont have enough money to buy another kit or a distrubution block from 1x 1/0 gauge to 2x 4 guage outputs.

Thanks if you can help me.

Just need to know if its ok to make two runs from battery to 2 seperate amplifiers.

its fine, most competition cars actually run 4-8 runs of 0ga from the front battery to the rear battery bank. more runs means better flow of electricity to your amps.

You're fine.

One thing I would recommend though is to upgrade the ground going from your battery to your chassis. If you have 4ga and 5 ga going to your amps, grounds of the same size, and the chassis ground is only 10ga, its gonna be a big weakness in your system. I dont even run my grounds from my battery up front I run it to the car's chassis in the back myself. thats a long run for ground. ground shouldnt be more than 5 feet long

The Boss amp is 5-Gauge for grounding, just like the power and the sub amp I will get will be 4-gauge wiring for ground, same with the power. I will be running both grounds to the same chassis point, which is under 3-4 feet in distance.

Is that ok? I dont see how I would have grounding problems.

you will be fine as long as your grounding point is solid
He should still upgrade at least the chassis to battery under the hood. No sense in running two amps and grounding them to the chassis if the chassis connects to the battery under the hood with a 12ga wire.

OOooh, now I understand what you mean. But yeah, I will definitely be doing that sometime, the Big 3 under the hood should eliminate that kind of problem/pressure.
