Someone please advise,
I have a 99 Ford Escort. I had a dead battery and a friend jumped my car, while I was in the trunk, he put the jumper cables on backwards. I got them off, while burning my hands, but now I am not getting any power to my amps, head unit or security system(the security system is the one ford has factory installed). I have 4 gauge comming straight off the battery with a fuse. I changed this. Could there be another fuse for the 4 gauge somewhere in the system before it gets to the amps?? It does run into a splitter that breaks the 4 gauge to two 8 gauge going to seperate amps. I pulled out the head unit and changed the fuse behind it, I have also changed the fuse in the main box under the dash. All the fuses look good. I also checked, but didn't change the fuses on my amps all look good. Is there a fuse I am missing, or have I fried something?? Is there a step I am missing??
