x2even $1,000 for a full wall seems pretty reasonable, hopefully that includes having it fully covered or painted, sealed up to the sides of the vehicle. not just a huge box sittin there. $575 sounds iffy, you might want to double check and make sure they know what you mean. You want to make sure ANY wall is completely sealed, thats basically the point lol.
agreed. i could never do the install myself. i ****:crap:All install dependent.
My Kicker CVX was as loud and sounded as good as my FI Q and never had any problems with, when I had to send back my FI once and then needed it reconed and sold it locally to a member here.
They will also push their equipment because they want the monies from you. All install shops for the most part will say that. I used to work front help for an audio shop and was told to push our product even if we had marked it up or it wasn't as good as what they were talking about. Essentially I was a salesmen, and most salesmen are liars. I did what I was told.
Learn how to do it yourself and do the 18's. Should be louder being it is walled off in the back seat instead of in the trunk.
Granted I did mid 150's in a trunk to my wall car which was around the same.
Like I said install dependent.
probably but im not a very patient person. i drive a truck for a living so i make it home 3 days out of the month so its just easier for me to have someone drop my car off at the install guy 4 days before i come and just pick it up myself and enjoy it the 3 days im homeBet you could if you looked at a few build logs and asked the forum questions as you did it. You would be surprised what you can do when you plan it out.
x2.i wouldnt let him build me that wall..... he prolly wont design it right then say, i told you it wouldnt be louder....
