Is Crutchfield wrong?

Called Crutchfield earlier about returning my 1242w's, and they asked why I wanted to upgrade. I told them I wanted harder hitting, louder subs. I told them I was looking at getting two 15" cvr's, since they are on sale. The guy laughed and told me they would sound like ***. He said they will not have any accuracy at all, but not be much louder than my Infinity's. I told him that depends on the box, and he said "you're right, to an extent". I told him I had one of you guys design me an 8 cu ft box, and he said it won't sound better than my 1242w's

Is this guy on crack?

So he recommended I get two RockFord P3's, because they are on sale for $225 a piece. After I laughed at him, and told him I would never spend that much money on two entry subs, he was a dick to me.

Like I said, wtf is up with this guy?

CVRs...dont sound that great... I own a 15, and I was impressed with output, but it lacked in the SQ department.

sometimes techs are a.ssholes because they expect to know more than the person they talk to almost all of the time.

sucks that its a crutchfield tech though cause i generally like crutchfield in most respects (usually excluding price)

crutchfield was wrong for my stuff. Told me I had 6.5" components front and back, I have 4" in the front and 4" midbass in the back. Huge differenece.

Aren't Alpine type R's sold through Crutchfield? I would look at those even though they are more expensive. Actually I would really look at these:

Comp VRs...also like power...if you underpower them, they wont do anything. I wouldnt give a pair of CVRs less than 1k. RMS is 500...but they can take more...I ran one CVR 15 on 1200 watts for a while.

X2, I was running a pair of 12"s off ~900watts each, much more then that and they got unhappy.
