1600rms at a SI Mag 15 Sealed?

I recently got my first highend sub, a 12inch m3 mojo powered by a xtant 1001x which i was told runs 1600rms at 1ohm, after lots of tuning i realized that the bass only sounded good on very few rap songs and sloppy at others, my last setup was a type r sealed and sounded much cleaner so i was thinking a SI mag 12 or 15 sealed but i was worried about sending to much power to it.

i know the mag is on its own level sq wise so for daily setup would i still be able to get great sq ported? i listen to lots of rap and want my bass to hit as hard as possible without sounding sloppy aka memphis mojo. thanks

You do not need 1600 RMS but it will not hurt it either unless you go for extended periods and even then you will probably be ok. I ran my 15 sealed and ported off of 1500 rms and had the gains set correctly and it sounded great. I would port the Mag and tune around 32 hz since you listen to mainly rap, it will hit very hard and sound soooo smooth.
