Is bridging amps bad?

Using an amp bridged is fine as long as it is designed to be...

Bridging an amp (as long as it is designed for it) is fine. it's basically redistributing the power and where it's going in the amp.

why would they make (majority out there people!! ) "bridgable amplifiers" if they were not supposed to be bridged? LOL

It's bad to bridge an amp or install one in general if you don't know the first thing about what ohm load your running. Could be where this bridging amps is bad thing is coming from. People wire the wrong load up to their bridged amp and blame the amp when it burst into flames on a .5 ohm load when its designed for 2 ohms minimum.
