Friend of mine just bought 2 power acoustic mofo 15s. (told him not to)

Now he needs amp for these "1700 rms" subs. theyre dual 2 ohm.

anybody have any suggestions on cheap amps. he's gonna havta run at 2 ohms cuz his electrical is in no way capable of running at .5 ohms on any amp. he already has 4 kicker comp 12s in his trunk and wants to add these 2 15s.

at any rate, as stupid as it is...what amp gives these "1700 rms" subs good enough power at 2 ohms.

these are all things i told him. i recommended those 2 amps too. but he said those are way too high and went on about how he can get a boss 2500 for $125.

How about two cheap 1 ohm monoblocks. Assuming you cannot convince him mixing subs is a terrible idea.

ive tried and tried and tried. but all he keeps thinking is "this is gonna be loud with all these subs". all in prefab boxes.

maybe a power acoustic gothic to match?

i think so... i have alot of dumb friends as far as car audio. thats why they always ask me stuff....im no pro by any means but some of the stuff they come up with is just ridiculous.

reminds me of a guy from here a long while back who had like 4 w6 10's and a 13w7 all off slash amps in his jimmy/blazer. At least your friend is doing stupid things with cheap gear.
