Is bigger better

If an 8" speaker will fit where I was going to use a 6.5" is that reason enough to go bigger? I'm referring to the pwx midranges by the way.

All other things as equal as possible, if it's the same speaker but just a different size, go bigger. More cone area helps you get louder if it's the same xmax and power

The 8 can't play as high as a 6.5
