Is a battery Isolator really needed?

wait, so what should i do if i want 2 batteried hooked up to a single amp?

If I want 2 batteries say 2 Optima Yellow Tops, what do i need? I realize that yes two batteries will double the voltage, but what do i need to use that will have those 2 batteries put out the 12 volts? or is there no way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

hey there genius. if you run the batteries in parallel the voltage will remain at 12v and the current capabilities will double. if you wire them in series, yes you will get 24v and probably have to buy a new car while your at it cuz i don't think the cars electronics are gonna like 24v too much... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Do + terminal in the front, to the + terminal in the back. Fused of course. Dont want any fires now, do we

Do the same with the negative terminal. Also, the more runs of each you have, the better. Less resistance and voltage drop = higher score (if you compete)

i have one red top up front and a yellow top in the back, thats not hooked up yet. is this a good idea to do 2 different types or shoul i get 2 red tops?

not needed at all...i have 7 kinetik 2400's with no iso....just charge them when needed

Meaning the more power runs you have, and the more negative runs you have, the better off you are. It would be fine with 1 of each, but it you compete, or want to make sure there is no voltage drop, the more the merrier.

Is there any pictures you have pf the back batteries, just to give me an idea, i just dont want battery acid all of my interior cab.
