Is 8 volt better ???

if your talking about the pre-outs it gives a more powerful signal through your rca's so you in turn have to keep your gains down lower on your amplifier.
yep,

also,

Be weary of lying companies. The same way some will advertise as "52watts x4!" just to get those kids who think 52watts is that much better than 50watts (even though it wont pu tout near that), some will rate their preouts for not even close to what it will do unclipped.

EDIT: to answer your question, 8v is generally better than 4v, though a true 4v is plenty to keep noise down. Even 2v is usually fine, lower than that, you run an increased risk of engine noise etc..

shit, I used to get perfectly clean and good sound with my 2v outputs from an old jvc HU //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The lower the output voltage the higher the gains the higher the gains the higher the chance of noise...

like when you turn your tv volume up max and then you turn up your cable box volume you will notice a lot of noise so you turn down the tv volume...

I tried to dumb it down but I think i just made a stupid :p
