is 134.1 db's loud for a single 10?

You can get into the 140s with your current equipment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
You don't need to buy anything.
how so? i think i'm pretty much pushing all the power i can out of the amp i have. the treo can probably take a little more but not to sure. i know your saying i can get a higher number if i burp it at the right freq but i mean i want it louder for daily driving(like listening to music).

enclosure design makes a world of difference.

i built the box to treo's specs. so not much more i can do there i don't think. and trust me i know, the last box i had it in was nowhere near right for the sub and it made a big difference when i made the new one.

make a new spl box? something tuned at 38-42hz..., or try a bandpass enclosure

ok about burping.... when i did the 134.1 score i played a sine sweep(20-60hz) at pretty much full volume where i know is just under clipping. now if i played just a pure sine wave it wouldn't be any louder would it? i can't just go back and set my gains at max and play for a fraction of a second right? i guess i'm saying i don't really know what burping really consists of. lol

Find what your peak frequency was at when you did that sweep, it should give you a rough idea of what the resonant frequency of your car is. With that said, all you'll need to do is build a new box, one tuned very close to your peak frequency, and you could even build it with an adjustable port, so that when you aren't in the lanes you can have a nice street cruising box.

Just an idea.

Pffffffft. Get a DD 9910, 8 IA 40.1s, and you should be in the 160s no problem. Simple as that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ok for real though, you might look at the SI BM 10". I've heard they do pretty well in the SPL department as well as sounding **** good. Some people on the SI forums were talking about SPL numbers with BMs but I don't remember specifics.
