is 134.1 db's loud for a single 10?

lol 1.5 seems small huh, Well in 1.5 with a niche 6000d (I was getting 1500rms) I did a 144.3 at 40hz in an suv so that would be in the 40s for you...1.5 is AFTER all displacement keep that in mind when you build....

ok man i'm not doubting you. 1.5 ported just sounded small for a 12. everybody seems to say 2-2.5 for a 12 thats why i asked. what will i gain or lose by putting it into a 2 foot box?

edit: also, how much port area should i use in a 1.5, and how much in a 2?

I really dont know that would be somthing you had to try, I just know in 1.5 cubes AFTER displacement with 1500rms in my vehicle it will do a 144db with 4k it will do a 148db.....I am sure for daily you will be fine, just try it man we can tell you whats going to happen IN YOUR car....

ehh...my MT was in like 1.7 net.

when you throw alot of power at a sub, you can't have it in a huge box or it will hit mechanical limits to quick.

would 2 cubes sound better (sq wise) compared to 1.5? would it hit the lows better?

how much port area should i use for it?

your not understand what we are saying man, 0.5 cubes is not going to make a huge difference thats going to make or break what your after, most of the time box size doesnt matter for sq or spl unless your talking sealed vs ported, and you could easly use 0.5 for port...are you planning 2.0 cubes after displacement or before? The sub alone is .24 displacent...lets try this you have given us power, no sure on sub, and you want 2cubes is that before or after displacement? The AQ woofers get low tuned at 40hz, like I said with the power your using I think 1.5-2.0 AFTER displacement tuned at 40hz is going to make you happy, but you nor I will know until you try it.
