i do all my own installing and building, i just never had a stupid loud system and now i kinda want to. i'm not new to car audio but i wanna get a little into spl now. i just wanna be in the 140-145 range with a single woofer, and not have the back of my car dragging on the ground from all the weight. thats all.noob.... jk bud
ok about burping.... when i did the 134.1 score i played a sine sweep(20-60hz) at pretty much full volume where i know is just under clipping. now if i played just a pure sine wave it wouldn't be any louder would it? i can't just go back and set my gains at max and play for a fraction of a second right? i guess i'm saying i don't really know what burping really consists of. lolthats not bad score for 1 10if u want louder find the peak frequency in your car and burp it at the frequecy and i think u will see a ur numbers go up some

i understand but with comparing other peoples scores with similiar subs and boxes and all you should be able to come up with a good estimate. i just wouldn't want to buy all the shit and not even come close. i'm deffinetly not a noob to car audio so i don't wanna hear that.
so your saying staying with a 10 in a similar box size with just a little bit higher tuning(since they say to tune the AQ's @ 40hz) with just double the power i can go up about 6-10db's? are the AQ's that good?I'm lookin to do a sundown on and hd312...should be real nice. So you could do an hd310 on a sundown. Should get what you want out of that.
thanks but i just don't see a 15 sitting in what little space i have. the scion tc's trunk is tiny.ok if u want to get in the 140 range u need more power...get 1 audioque 12 slap it in 2 cubes ported tuned to 40hz ... or if u dont want to spend that much get 1 re sx 15 and slap it in 3 cubes tuned to 35hz( heres where u can get 1 at a decent price http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=231533)
