purchasing this alternator from dom. wondering, with my set up will i need a lifetime warranty, or is the included one yr warranty sufficient. not "burping" or competing spl to any degree. just wonderung if it would be wise to spend the extra bill. i.e., how likely is it for an alternator of this caliber to fail after a year w/my setup? thanks

i would say definitly get the lifetime... mine died after only 3 months of daily use, not extreme use by any means.

it was fixed by dom under the one year warranty. but that alt will not be going back on my car... not ever again, i dont trust it to last long enough. mine died 3 times within the first year i had it.
