IPOD / USB 255 file per folder Limit Question

So ive switched to the Kenwood Bt648u

I know that I cant just dop 8000 songs into my usb flash, I have to put them in folders with 255 songs or less

My question is do IPODs work the same way as the USB flashes do? Do they need to have folders with 255 songs or less...... or can all my songs be in one folder?
