Hey guy's i have a Alpine 9887 and i just ordered the ipod cable for it for my 30gb video ipod. My question is do you have to adjust any of the setting's on the ipod itself for it to be as loud as a cd was? Also when you have it plugged into on the ipod cable off the h.u. does it charge? Sorry guy's im new to all this.

K sweet thx slam:). Sry man im still new to all this never had a ipod b4 could never afford one but got one now in a trade i did with teen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

Also is there anyway to delete song's off your ipod while your listening to it ? or does it have to be plugged into the usb into the computer only?

no prob.... it has to be plugged to ur computer to delete. If u dl'ed free the quality is usually not as great as the ones u buy. fyi

Some ******* stole my itouch out my glove box in my car and they never picked up my $600 gps next to it lol...

ThX slam....man that's pretty fcked up man. i had a decent mp3 player b4 but that wasn't important it was the things attached to it real high-end Shure earbuds they were stole out of my backpack at college:(

Is true that the quailty is not as good as CD, although I have seen some say Apple uses lossless audio, which I am not sure. I just dl the song and have at it.

The Ipod you will want to keep the volume bar turned down to under half. I have mine at 1/4 and EQ off. It distorts with just about any level you put the EQ on the iPod. Just turn it off and use your deck for EQing.

Depending on the quality of the download, it will be just as loud, if not louder than a burnt CD. If you're talking about a retail CD, it SHOULD be the same volume, if the download was of good quality and the software/user that ripped it, didn't mess with ripping volume settings.

Does the volume bar on the ipod matter? I thought it didn't I'll have to check it out.

Like everyone said, put the eq on flat on the ipod or it'll sound like shit.

For quick reference, use the radio preset button all the way to the right to cycle through shuffle all tracks, album, or no shuffle.

Watch out for shitty quality mp3's with boosted levels! Can really f up your shit if you have your bass levels at threshold.
