Inverted...how to run wires?

I don't want to be flamed for this, I am running a JL 10w3v2 inverted for a couple reasons. I should receive the sub next week and am wondering how to run the wires.

I know I need to hook negative to positive and positive to negative, but do I just drill holes to hook them up? If I drilled holes to run the wires into the box wouldn't that defeat the purpose of a sealed box?

Exactly the wires will be on the outside of the box, but I want to run them into the box and hookup the wires inside. Running the wires on the outside will look tacky.
Then your subs will not be inverted. I dont get what you're trying to say here. If you want the wires inside the box then you put the subs in regular.

No invert the subs. Then I want the wires on the outside of the box to be ran inside to the connector and then to the amp so it looks cleaner and the wires aren't so exposed for aesthetic reasons. This truck is shown and I want it to look good.

what dont you understand? Those wires have to connect to the sub sometime ON THE OUTSIDE because thats where the terminals to the sub is. No matter what, you're going to have wires on the outside. If you can show me how someone magically wired up a sub without putting wires in the terminals well, I'll give you money.

Your best bet is trying to run it cleanly along the side. I've seen ppl drill holes and run into the box and then seal with some kinda sealer around the wire but idk how safe/effective that is. Just run it as nicely as you can, pointless to run in the box if its already out.

i understand that the OP is mounting the sub inverted, but wants to have a terminal cup on the box for easy connection. as such, he needs to run the speaker wire from the inside of the terminal cup to the sub terminals on the outside of the box.

you can drill a hole for the wire and seal it up with silicone.

or you can get a DVC wiring terminal and neatly route the wiring on the outside of teh box (secured every 6" or so) to one set of terminals, and connect the amp outputs to the other set (with internal or external jumpers).

also if you run the sub terminals pos to neq the way you described you would have a 8 ohm load

the speaker is a DVC 4 ohm

You will want to run both pos and both negs together which will give you a 2 ohm load

You have no idea what amplifier he's using, don't assume things, he may want an 8 ohm load.

It is true that I do not know what Amp his is running but I do know what sub he is using as I am the one who just sold it to him.

I have noticed that a few people on the board have a hard time understanding how the OHMs change with different wiring on DVC subs that is why I was letting him know that he would have an 8 OHM load the way he was talking about wiring the sub.
