Alright, I picked up a pair of 10" Type R's in a tiny sealed box.

I'm gonna have someone build a new box for them in the upcoming weeks and need to decide the approach. Aiming for around 80% SPL/20% SQ.

I don't care about saving hatch space. I'm used to not having it.

1) What is the ideal direction for sub/port?

I've read a couple threads and got mixed opinions. I'd like to hear from some experienced folks what works best here. I'm leaning towards sub up/port back.

2) Recommended tuning?

I personally haven't owned R's. Aiming for 80/20 mix so Im guessing 36ish?

3) Size of enclosure?

Im limited to 30" Width for over half of the hatch, so it can't be an outrageously large enclosure. I was thinking 3cf? Maybe 3.5 if it fits?

Thanks in advance guys, your always helpful.
