Ok well some of you might know that I crashed my car. The insurance adjuster came to my house this morning to look at my car, took some pictures, called around and claimed it as totaled. Well i paid $3200 for it with 10 thousand miles on it. Now it has about 33 or 34. It's in great condition and I heard they give you the retail of the car plus tax. Anyone has any idea how much I will be getting back?

My friend got his car totaled on new years eve. They totaled it out. Gave him $9000 (book value) for it. He owes $13000. He didnt have GAP insurance so is assed out $4000. He owes $4000 on the lean and has no car. WHat BS!!

Probably right around book value, what kind of car do you get for 3200 with 10k on it or did you forget a '0' ie: 32000
Saturn SL2, my dad's friend from his work, his mom wanted a blue car before she died. The dealer was only going to give her 3 grand on the trade in so she sold it to us instead. And no I didn't forget a 0, i'm still suprised the dealer was only going to give her 3.

Yeah, what kind of car is it? Typically, and this depends on the insurance company, but they will normally go off an average selling price of that car in your area. So if you had a 2006 Dodge Ram Hemi, and the average price of 10 different dealers with comparable miles/features was $21,500, they'll give you that, plus TTL. You can usually squeeze a week or two of rental car reimbursement out of them as well, even if you didn't rent a car.

I'm not those guys r sharks probably would have gotten close to 6 or 7k for it to.

It all depends i had this similar situation and the insurance company took into consideration what city u live in, miles the car had, condition it was in , features (fully loaded or base).
