instructions for breaking in sub

nope, not really. im only 5'9", but because my arms are shorter i have an advantage in the bench event.
if thats ur idea of wit, i need to get the f*ck out of here and go back to bodybuilding.com, where a bunch of meatheads can outwit the who's who of the still-virgin-audiophiles
a baseball bat or a titanium golf club would make ur ***** *** pass out just as efficiently(sp) as it would to someone who has a 150lb frame

***edit***

Make sure the wallsocket is 220volt highervoltage means less heat so pound away

To properly break in your subs, you must plug it into the wall socket for about 5 to 10 seconds. It will loosen up the suspension and get it all ready to go.

you know what a metaphor is? i like to take good care of my sh*t, which is indicated by my story, and i am willing to break a sub in slow, even if it means losing the enjoyment i would presently be receiving.
Then do what your manual says. /thread

Oh wait, you asked US. The suspension will loosen up, or BREAK IN, over a short period of time. The sub will sound better once this happens, the manf. MIGHT mention this to keep you from taking it back saying it doesn't sound good. When my DDs gave in after a few shows, there was a marked improvement in response and output.

You bought a type-r at a shop. Do what the shop people say to insure warranty. If they didn't mention it, don't worry about it.

If you want a Fs - 90hz, -9db to -6db tone to play continuous for DAYS, I'll make you one, but it really isn't necessary. Do what we've told you. Get in and go. You may, or may not, detect the sub playing louder/lower at some point

my friend just got a 12" type x off of ebay and had it in a ported enclosure with the 1000w alpine digital amp ( dont kno model number) and the install shop told him he needed to break it in.

he turns it up after the fifth day of breaking it in and he looks back and sees smoke coming from behind he seats, pulls over and the sub is pouring smoke out of the port. the shop claims he didnt break it in long enough.

i think it was a manufactoring problem and thats why it was so cheap on eBay

type r's need to be slightly my friends i had it off of only 500 playing for 5 minutes and it smelled slightly of burning rubber. I was told it was like glue on the vc or something like that

All you have to know is how a **** speaker works!!!! sheesh! Go do some learning, an if a shop gives you sum bullshit story like that (you didnt break it in long enough) teach them a few **** things. I don't have a link to a good site, but maybe someone has one that will go through the reasons speakers do not need to bo "broken in". Or can just type it up....

lmfao! what a ridiculous thread... its funny to see the posts you missed over the last 2 months //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
