Installing aftermarket amp in Factory System.

I am installing a visonik amp to run two 15" type R's in my truck and am curious where the best place to hook it up is. I drive an 06 Tahoe with the upgraded Bose audio. I was thinking of running the LOC from the factory sub leads. Anyone here done this in a tahoe or have any better suggestions. I realize that I should replace everything, but can't afford it right now. Any help is appreciated. Also, the truck has the upgraded alternator, but I can't remember the amperage of the upgraded one. I am trying to find that now. Thanks.

Yes, hooking the LOC to the factory sub leads is fine. Then just hook up your power, ground, and tap into acc. for your remote line.

Awesome, thanks for the tip. Last question. Is there a switched 12volt power that is easily accesible? I was hoping to avoid taking apart the dash. Appreciate the help with this.
