This is one of my buddies from highschools ride. One of his SPL hatchbacks. He hit a 223.2 at the headrest last week.

My Taurus was a bit of a ***** to install my Alpine CDA-9884. I bet a bunch of you know, in 96, ford decided to put the factory amp in the trunk and integrate the heater and radio controls. Did mine in like 45 minutes, in the dark. Came out perfect.

This thread is honestly making me feel better.

my 95 ford was not easy to install a deck in as well. (because IDIOTS tried at first) I first took it to best buy and bought a Sony deck for 130.00, they said installation was free and it would take about 30 min, so i go alright.

2 hours later i get my car back and no sooner do i drive out of the bay that i notice only one side of my car plays sound.. I back up and park it in the install bay and go WTF this only plays on the right side of my car.. They go yea you need either a new amp or a new specialty part for your car, its going to be at least 80.00 more + labor.

I am like are you SERIOUS? i told them to get the shiz out of my car immediately and that im returning it.

They took it out and i called my friend and we went to the maple grove best buy, bought the same deck and i told them about what the other store did and they couldn't believe it, they said this is all i needed and handed me a factory amp bypass harness that cost 5 dollars. I drove to his house and we installed the deck in about 30 min.

free air install FTL, guy comes in and says his jensen 7" fold out stopped working after he installed his subs, so im thinking he has maybe 2 10's in a box powered by an amp....NO!!!! 2 10's zip tied to the rear deck powered off the radio and the connections were wrong so they were touching and grounding out. The guy later goes on to say he is gonna add a 75 shot nitrous and turbo and all this crap, but you cant even install a radio and subs let alone a turbo kit and nitrous

About 8 years ago when i got my first car i was rocking an xplod HU, some "sound storm" 4x6 front speakers, and 2 fisher 15" home audio subs off the rear channels.
