Long time lurker, first post. I've been spending the last couple of weeks building a box for two 12's to be powered off a Polk PA880. I've already got two speakers running on an old school Crossfire CFA-404s. Tonight I finished the box and wired up the amp.
Good news:
It all makes sound
Bad news:
It is extremely quiet. I initially thought the subs were not playing before adjusting gain and sub volume.
To know, I have two power wires running from the battery as well as the remote wire running to the Crossfire and then the Polk from there. Disconnecting the remote from the subs, the speakers are still very quiet. I will be buying a relay in the next couple days in hopes that it solves the problem but I don't see how it would considering the problem exists regardless if both amps are on or just one. I look to you guys for some other ideas. Is this just a reset your gains deal or what?
