so far looks like im going with some SX 15s for the explorer build until this pans out lol

These are better than 2 15" SX's IMO. Go with them if your looking for that sound.

when you say "that sound" what do you mean?

I listen to Rock R&B and Hip Hop. You being a owner of both the SX line and the Q line should be the best person to ask about listening differences.

well i am under the impression that the sx's dont get very low either, but are pretty good in the upper frequencies, and i think manny is saying the q's beat out the sx's in the upper range and have a little bit better lows.

ive heard SX get pretty low so thats why i was wondering. Also from what your saying if a Q has more low end and manny and them are saying the Q is "lacking low end"

Maybe both arent right for me, my only hands on experince is 05 XXX, 06 XXX and MX. I've heard others in Re's lines but only owned these lines

i think manny was expecting low end monsters and when they are really just average, thats why he was kinda disapointed.

Yes I was expecting some low-end monsters, you are right. The SX 18 got pretty low, lower than the 2 15" Q's (AS OF NOW), but I havnt heard SX 15's. I've been playing 20hz-25hz sweeps in the truck for a while now lol, so we will see.

how is the sq of them is it clear, detailed and precise or so so

They sound just fine when getting loud, like I said they have trouble right now dropping real low, but the upper range kicks you in the *** an sounds good doing it. Keep in mind this is 8cubes after tuned to 28HZ!
